Deep Cleaner

Deep Cleaner is an 8-bit, four player game where control a robot that has to pick up trash that in the ocean while trying to avoid hitting fishes. However, the ocean is very dark so the players have to take advantage of sonar to briefly see the location of both the trash and fishes. There is a big sonar that scans the entire screen and a less powerful one that players can use to detect any objects that is close to them.
This group project was part of our university assignment where we had to create a multiplayer game that can be played on an arcade cabinet located at Dundee's Whalesong Park. I was in charge of creating the art assets like the robot cleaners, the different kinds of trash that player collects and the fishes. This project was received so well by our teachers, that we there was chance that Deep Cleaner was going to be one the games that can be played at Whalesong Park.
